My name is Mallory Wood and I work for Saint Michael's College Office of
Admission.
Hailing from Chateaugay, NY... I am a proud graduate of SMC's Class of 2008! I had a major in Religious Studies and two minors, Classics and Marketing. I kept myself very busy while I was a student! Student Government, called the Student Association or SA, was by far my favorite activity, and in my senior year I was Student Body Vice President! I also played many Intramural Sports, participated in the Leap and Emmaus retreats, tour-guided and blogged, had a work-study job at the Student Resource Center, and in my junior and senior years I had two wonderful Academic Internship experiences!
I have absolutely fallen in love with Burlington, VT! In fact, while I was still a student I spent most of my summers staying in the city and working as an Event Hostess at the ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center and a summer tour guide for the Admission Office! After graduation I decided to take it easy for the summer, continuing at ECHO and picking up a retail position at Express in one of the many malls in Burlington.

In August of 2008 I was SO lucky when a position opened up here at St. Michael's! Being an Admission Counselor is wonderful. In the Fall and Spring I travel (mostly) to New York and Western Massachusetts to meet with students at their high schools and at college fairs. In the winter months our staff buckles down and reads all of the applications that students send us. Then in the summer... we get ready to do it all again! It is always fun when the office holds events like Group Info Sessions or Open Houses; I enjoy meeting with students who come to campus to check out SMC more in-depth!
